OCS Programs

Enrichment Programs

In addition to our excellent curriculum, OCS participates in a variety of programs designed to further develop the talents of our students including:

Every year our students participate in these programs and often win at schoolwide, county, state and even national levels. These include past winners in the Academic Pentathlon, Future Inventors of America, Literary and Poetry Contests, Character Education Programs, and 1st Place Winner at State Level in Penmanship.

Outreach Programs

Along with Academic Excellence, Orange Crescent School stresses the values of reaching out to our local and global communities.

  • The annual Los Angeles “Feeding the Homeless” project
  • OCS’s Schoolwide Orphan Sponsorship Program
  • The American Heart Association’s “Jump Rope for Heart” Program
  • Various Interfaith programs
  • Preschool’s Trike-a-thon fundraiser for local hospitals
  • The Garden Grove Strawberry Festival

Muslim Girl Scouts

Orange Crescent School is one of only a few Islamic Schools nationwide to offer an on-campus Girls Scout Troop. Parent involvement and administrative support has paved the path for two successful troops at OCS. The Brownie Troop, for the younger girls and the Junior Troop for the middle school girls. Our girls experience adventures in rock climbing and horseback riding while maintaining outstanding honor in academics. They learn great skills in entrepreneuring, while continually performing “good deeds” for the community at large. We have one Ramadan Patch winner and three girls selected for the National Girl Scout Calendar. Our goal is to allow our Muslim girls to “grow strong.”
