Board of Education
The OCS Board is a policy making body which:
-Adopts the annual budget and approves all expenditures;
-Employs personnel;
-Approves curriculum, textbooks, and courses of study and;
-Makes decisions on contracts.
The President of the OCS Board is appointed by the Majilis-e-Shura of the Islamic Society of Orange County and is a member of the Executive Committee. The President coordinates with the School Principal to ensure the smooth functioning of the school. A five - seven member board is chosen to help facilitate these responsibilities.
Regular Meetings of the OCS Board are held once a month. Special meetings are called when necessary at a time and place announced in advance.
