Dear Parents,

As-Salaam-Alaikum.

We would like to welcome you and your child to the fourth grade.  We are thankful to Allah (SWT) for the opportunity to serve the Orange Crescent School and community again. We look forward to working together as a team as we both have your child’s best interest at heart.

If a child is provided with a nurturing environment he/she will be encouraged to reach academic and moral excellence. We believe the learning of a child requires the combined effort of both the parents and the teachers so let’s join hands for the benefit of your child.

Our mission is to provide students with “Academic and Moral Excellence in an Islamic Environment,” with our educational programs geared toward the development of our students’ total personality. Please prepare your child with basic comprehension and reading skills that are valuable tools for success in fourth grade. Also you can review the basic math skills and multiplication table with your child.

Please bring the following supplies to class, labeled with your name, grade, room number, & teacher’s name.

·    5 composition notebooks (1 per subject)
·    3 Pocket folders
·    2 Packets Filler Paper – College or Wide Ruled
·    6 Sharpened No. 2 pencils
·    2 Soft erasers
·    1 Ruler 12in (Standard and Metric Measurements)
·    2 Red ballpoint pen
·    1 Pencil Sharpener with cover
·    1 Packet of 100 count ruled index cards (3x5)
·    Set of 24 Crayola Crayons
·    Set of 24 Crayola Color Pencils
·    Pair of round tip scissors
·    Bottle of Elmer’s Glue
·    Stick of Glue

The following additional items would be greatly appreciated to keep hygiene standards in the classroom.

·    1 Box Kleenex Tissue
·    1 Clorox/Lysol Wipes
·    1 Baby Wipes
·    1 Lysol Air Freshener

Since many of these items are consumable, students will be expected to maintain their supplies throughout the year.  Thank you for your support.

No Trapper Keepers; there is not enough room in the desk to store it.
