The Academic Pentathlon
The Orange County Department of Education sponsors a yearly Academic Pentathlon for middle schools. The Pentathlon is an exciting and motivating experience for students of all ability levels. After extensive training, teams of middle school students representing almost two hundred schools across Orange County and beyond, meet for one day, five-event academic competition. The competition begins with 30-minute written exams in five subject areas, and culminates in an exciting super quiz.
Orange Crescent School, Alhamdulillah, has performed outstandingly at the Academic Pentathlon in recent years. Our team members have come away with many individual and team medals, but more importantly, our students have learned the value of teamwork, self-confidence, motivation, and a sense of pride in their Islamic school. Being a part of this elite group of “Pentathletes” is an honor in itself.
